Apart from that, I took my friend Janelle to the Coolangatta Airport in the Gold Coast from Brisbane to test the Ford Fiesta's long distance travel and performance. The details/results are:-
Distance: ~83km
Average speed: ~110 km/h
Top speed: ~135 km/h
Weather condition: Raining
Road condition: Wet
Noise level: Acceptable with radio on
Wheel specs.: 16" alloys wrapped with Falken Ziex ZE-329 (205/45/R16)
Stability: Good
Comments: Car came back extremely dirty due to the weather.
We arrived early and I dropped Janelle off at the Air Asia X terminal where I wished her a pleasant flight back to M'sia. (going to miss that hot Aunty)
After that, I emoed for abit and drove to Surfers Paradise in Gold Coast to rest my mind. I found plenty of free parking, then parked near the CBD and walked to the beach to see the turqoise blue water, smell the salty air, touch the fine sand and listen to the calling of the waves as it pounds the shore. (sounds so soppy and poetic at the same time.....LMAO!)
All these brought back sweet memories of 2 years ago when Aunt Evelyn brought my dad and I to Surfers Paradise when we first arrived at Brisbane. As, I stood at the beach and looked out into the sea of uncertainty, I almost cried (not sure why) but didn't.
Started walking back to the car and drove home.
Got home tired and sleepy with my shoes soaked with salt water and sand. Ate Pho Huang spicy beef noodle for lunch and cycled out in the rain..........
