Happy September

I recently learnt how to fish from my Taiwanese friends and decided to get myself a rod, and so happens KMart is having a sale and I managed to get my rod for AUD20 instead of the normal AUD37. I was a HAPPY customer.....XDD

Fishing rod

Will be going to North Stradbroke this Sunday with friends to fish, hopefully I could fish come edible fishes....XDD

And I also bought myself a Apple Crumble cheesecake, for those of you that didn't know I love cheesecake, but my fucking bitch KNNCCBWTFBBQ mum forgot to buy it for my 21st B'day even though I specifically told her I wanted a cheesecake for my B'day. Instead, she said this "You got ask me to buy meh??"........FUCK.....such a simple request and she couldn't fulfill it, not like I was asking her to buy me heaps of other rubbish or a BMW.....so yes, every now and then I will go berzerk and buy whole cheesecakes to remind me of the cheesecake that she forgot to buy on my lousy 21st B'day..... :((

Apple Crumble cheesecake

That summarizes my September, Happy Raya to those who are celebrating this holy month.....XDD

Fun week!

It's all fun and games this week even though workload was high........XDD......And the keyboard that I ordered has finally arrived on Saturday. I got an email from the store in Greenslopes and rushed there to collect it and happily parted AUD55 to the salesperson. This was the keyboard I was yacking about in my previous post on how I sold the Lycosa and bought the Wave keyboard and still made a profit. In short, I was a happy customer with a megawatt smile on my face......*sniggers*.......

Logitech Wave Keyboard

Another event was Kevin's 18th B'day Dinner which was on the same day I received my keyboard, so you could imagine me running around collecting my keyboard, picking friends up around Sinkingbank area and parading to Kev's house for his party. All I can say is that night was both fun and entertaining thanks to some alcohol, hotpot, great company, mahjong, Wii, 'spin the bottle' and dirty talk......LOL......Highlights of the night was dressing Kevin up to become Kelly and presenting his new Razor mouse to complement his Razor keyboard.....XDD

Life has been fairly forgiving this semester as compared to the last semester......I hope all goes well for me this half of 2009.....Au revoir!

2. Tested my medication on a friend who had psoriasis and results have been quite positive. Reduced inflammation to site of flare-ups and have promoted new skin growth (pink & healthy).

3. Been buying fish cakes and meatballs to stir-fry and putting them in instant noodles.......XDD...YUM!

4. I secretly like Brisbane......although I keep saying I don't like it.....hehehehe...

5. I like my new place.

My true love!

That's all for a hot Monday. :)

New place, new semester, new stuff, new friends....XDD

Its been a long long time I know, but here's some minor updates.

Failed 2 subjects in Sem 1 2009, decided to switch to Bachelor of Science and graduating end of this year as I don't feel like studying anymore. But who knows, if my internals reignites I might still continue studying but definitely something different.

Apart from that, I moved to a new place again. The previous owner (cancer stricken) decided to shoot the Moon with the rents by raising it to an all new record high in the Sunnybank area. So decisions had to be made to shoot Mars when it comes to stretching my dollar as well (I'm quite stingy when it comes to money.....XD).

Here are some pictures of my new place (some pictures snagged from Pogger's blog):

New room

Happy tenant...XD

Work & Sleep

Cupboard & dressing table

Workstation

In addition, I bought a new pillow as well but not just any pillow, it's a memory foam pillow (think space technology) that conforms to the shape of my head based on body temperature......XD

Space age pillow.....Therapillo

Other nitty gritty fun stuff that happend:

1. Bought a multipurpose digital photo frame (Sanjay gave me attitude.....)

2. Sem 2 2009 started been busy for a bit

3. Been going out with new Taiwanese friends (friendly and seedy as well.....XDD)

4. Me renaming Sunnybank as Sinkingbank, a friend of mine 'Kelly' Su (sorry Kevin...XD) decided to play anagrams and called it Bunnysank........wtf!

5. I sold my Razor Lycosa and bought a Logitech Wave keyboard instead and still made a profit.........XDD

6. I tried acupuncture at a traditional Chinese medicine clinic.......and this guy has a certificate for doing traditional medication.......cool stuff!!......no such thing in M'sia....zzzzZZZ...

That's about it at ze moment, will try to frequent my updates.

Mayday!!

My mid-semester exam is on Monday and here I am blogging, YAY!!
Some minor updates, two of my friends bought their new car, a Killed In Action Rio. If you don't get the joke that's fine.......HAHAHAHAHA.

Kia Rio 1.4 A

One argued with a salesman on what the price should be till the salesman gave up and walked away.......EPIC moment..........but my friend settled with it after I told him how good the deal was. And I must say he bargains better than me.

Apart from that, Ford just sent me a new update on the Fiesta and I must say those bastards are fucking good at enticing me to change to the new Fiesta Verve concept. Temptations.......*clicks fingers on table, daydreaming of sitting in the New Fiesta with centre LCD console and heaps of electronics to play with while shifting gears manually with the new 1.6 T-iVCT revving to 7k*........back to reality.......still driving the 5th gen. Fiesta.

House updates: Owner's wife losing more hair as usual almost bald now, like ET. Uncontrolled cell propagation level at 70%. Very quiet on the home front as I have no one to pick on or argue with. Been inviting friends over to have dinner and chat.

Uni. updates: Swine flu alert issued by UQ Health on possible outbreak on campus. Exams coming. Less work, finishing up assignments.

Weather updates: Strong winds up to an estimated 50km/h in Sunnybank area, been raining 24 hours in Brisbane area on somedays causing flash floods. Temperature ranges from 16-21 degrees Celcius.

That's about it for this month's updates. Will update again after exams or when I am bored.
Have a great day and all the best to those taking their exams.

Holz coming to an end........zzZZzzz

Easter holz and Study Free Week has gone very well for me. Went to Newcastle to visit Sandra Teh then drove to Sydney from Newcastle with her.
Trip was excellent and refreshing, went to Sydney Fish Market and had salmon and lobster for lunch.
Our official transport was the Holden Epica 2.5L straight 6 engine; refined, composed, quick, engine was eager to perform and goes through all 6 gears seamlessly.

Holden Epica

Was really excited about going to Sydney, as I have not been to the Sydney Opera House before. Visited many places such as UNSW, botanical gardens and was randomly driving around and could have incurred a huge bill on tolls alone thanks to my useless GPS........LOL!!

Sandra and I with the Opera House

And to top it off, I bought 2 new shoes (Brooks and Asics) and a pair of polarized Ray Ban sunglasses while I was in NSW.

Brooks. Run happy...

That's about it for now. More updates when I am free or feeling bored.

Easter holz / *sniff sniff* !

Taking a break from my sleep, Easter holidays are coming up and I am feeling like a dooche bag already......but aside from that March has been a good month as I have test drove two new cars to satisfy my addiction for "new car smell".

The cars that I test drove was the new VW Golf 6 and the New Kia Cerato, both launched in February 2009.

VW Golf 6 1.4 Turbo

New Kia Cerato 2.0

The Golf 6 power was exceptional for such a small engine (1.4 Turbo) and I manage to hit the 0-100 km/h mark in 9 seconds in S mode all thanks to the new 7 speed DSG gearbox. New ergonomics and sound insulation makes it a premium music hall on wheels that is relaxing to drive yet exciting at the same time.

As for the Kia Cerato, the 2.0 engine was lethargic with no low end torque but once floored above 3000 rpm it brings the car from 0-100km/h in a healthy 11 sec mark. Interior still typical of Korean cars - cheap and plasticky.

I hope to be able to change to the New Golf 6 (1.4 Twincharger) if bapa gives me the green light...teehehehehehe......

Apart from that, I have been buying stuff online such as a signal booster for my phone and a new iPod battery. Both have not arrived yet, sob...sob...

And my house owner is losing more hair than ever, no thanks to uncontrolled cell propagation. For the weather updates, it has been raining heavily almost everyday causing floods and temperatures are steadily dropping marking the entry of the winter season.

That's all for now, will update soon when I am bored again.

70 Janda St..........zzzzzz

Temperature is rising in this new place that I am living now. For starters, the owner's wife is a Malaysian and the owner is a Singaporean, and when you get kiasuland and bolehland mixed together the results can be mind boggling, shocking and hilarious (it's like having multiple orgasm at the same time......zzzzzzzzz.).

Bolehland

+
Kiasuland

Recently, the couple has been harassing me for all the wrong reasons a.k.a barking up the wrong tree (but they cut down all the trees around the house so I was the only one left to bark at.....LMAO!!)

No more trees in the backyard

--> They say I can only use the washing machine once a week while they wash their own laundry everyday

--> They say my soy sauce bottles on the fridge door rack is too heavy (about 1 kg), they feel that the fridge door will fall off, therefore they want me to remove my soy sauce bottles to "lighten the load" (Westinghouse can close shop already if all their fridges couldn't support a few bottles of soy sauce........note the sarcasm...)

Beware of fridge door falling off.......lol!

--> I am not allowed to pre-cut and keep garlic in the fridge because it is smelly but yet they are eating garlic and using it in every meal

--> They tell me that I can't keep soy sauce in the fridge, yet the soy sauce bottle has this label "Refrigerate after opening"......................zZzZZZZzzzzzZ......

That's about it for now, will update you peeps when there's more funny stuff happening.

New Year, New Car policy.....wOoT!!

It's the first week of uni. and 3rd year is FUN fun FUN!! and to top it off it has been very exciting...........^&$*%^$^*$&^

First we went to Byron Bay in NSW to see the sunrise but ended up seeing more shooting stars instead (made heaps of wishes). The trip consisted of me, Jessica, Ernest and his sister. Our transport is of course the Ford Fiesta which gave us a comfortable but noisy trip (so cliche).

Sunrise at Byron Bay (should be a round ball)

Light house at Byron Bay

Jessica and the tired driver

After Byron Bay, some Aussie driver hit my car (again) in less than 8 months of ownership, felt sad but managed to polish off the paint mark leaving a dent..zzzzzzz.....later I decided to give my beloved car a health check and found out that she had minor cancer; her battery has been spewing acid all over the engine transmission case causing it to rust.

Leaky battery

Rusted part of engine

Had no choice, so I made a service appointment to have it rectified at the service centre but the chibai warranty team wasn't there to inspect my honey. So, I went to the showroom and kicked up a fuss with my salesman and magically he gave me a .............................

Ford Focus 2.0 with Seq. Sports Transmission

Ford's new key blade

This totally made my day, I was allowed to keep the car while my honey is being fixed (but personally I rather she'd die so that I can keep this new chick).......heheheheh

AND on with some reviews of this Focus;
car settles to a light burble after starting, engine was eager to be kicked up to 6k rpm with a loud and sexy growl (imagine a girl growling....lol!), very responsive D-B-W with good brake modulation, excellent control of NVH levels, Sequential Sports Transmission shifts with a solid 'click' to give excellent vehicle control, suspension is legendary Control Blade Independent system for superb road holding and reduced road noise, torquey engine, best of all; engine sounds like a Volvo S40 2.4i

However, torque steer is not desirable as I almost crashed into another car when I shifted 2 gears down using the manual mode.

Overall, this car would be the next on my list of desirable cars but depends whether VG will sponsor me is another issue altogether.........LMAO!! (inside joke)

That's it for this week, I would be away at Stradbroke Island for the weekend. Everyone please have a great weekend!!

adios!

Height clearance Fail!

Today is Market Day/Orientation in UQ and after missing the direct bus to UQ, I decided to take another bus and walk from the Mater Hill station to UQ using the Green Bridge since I had plenty of time. While walking I noticed the jam on the road and wondered why.

Here's why:

Height clearance fail!

That's the funniest thing I have seen this whole week. The truck driver must have miscalculated his truck height and decided to push his luck but obviously Lady Luck was frowning on him. Poor fellow tried backing the truck a few times to free himself but to no avail. Police and other bystanders came and must have provided some bright ideas on how to dislodge the truck from under the bridge.....LOL!

On another note, I finally bought a new mattress to aid my aching body as I have been sleeping on a sagging foam mattress for a week now. Went to Super A Mart and got a great deal, what was supposed to be a AUD 130 spring mattress became AUD 90 and it comes with double layer padding too!

Sweet dreams

That's it for the moment. More to come later this week if I am free.

Year 2009!!

After a long hiatus, I am finally back in Brisbane and back in the blogging scene again due to boredom. If you noticed, when I was back in Malaysia there was no blog entry cuz I was busy lim teh in mamak stalls with my buddies.

Back to the point anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's 2009 and it's the year of the ox which is also the year of the Great Depression! I don't know why I sound happy and not depressed....lolz

And while I was back in Malaysia, we had a small gathering for VW Golf 1.6 FSi owners. As usual it was car talk and more teh tarik to keep the mouth moist so we can brag about what we have done to our cars,

VW Golf 1.6 FSi owners.

Next thing up is UQ stuff; signed up for 4 subjects as usual but timetable seems light, that means I finish at noon and have the rest of the day free everyday. To make my time more productive, I have applied for a lab job in the Institute of Molecular Bioscience but have no confidence that I will get it because my results are average but we'll see how Lady Luck smiles or worst - frown on me.......hehe

Have a great year 2009 everyone!
